Flames and smoke. It's all she could see for what seemed like miles. The smoke filled her lung until she could no longer breath. She tried to push her way out of the smoke filled room, but the smoke was too thick. Was this how she was to die? Fire. No, that is not how she was to die. The vision flashed away quickly to the forest. It was like an out of body experience. Victoria saw herself standing there with a man who looked like he was gently kissing her neck, but she knew this was not the case. She could see the color draining from her body. Yes, she knew this is how she was to die. Even though she knew it would do nothing, Victoria screamed at the man to stop killing her. Victoria sat up in a tizzy. Her breathing was hard, and her heart rate increased greatly. Immediately, her hand went to her throat to feel for marks. Nothing. At least, not anymore. As she was about to go back to sleep, her phone rang. Tabitha. She sighed, and answered the phone. "Hello, Tabitha," she said getting out of bed.
Victoria knew why they were calling her. She was not the only witch in her family with the gift of divination, and she knew that they knew something was wrong with her. "Victoria Willow, what on earth is going on in that Academy to make you have nightmares? You woke up all the Elders," Tabitha sounded pretty worried. Victoria knew she should probably say something about the attack, but her family already had a hatred for vampires. She didn't want to add to it. "Nothing. I've just been watching scary movies with some of the other witches." Smooth, Victoria. Lord knows, Tabitha probably has files on all the witches and wizards in the school. "Right. Well, no more scary movies. This is the second night in a row we've been awakened by your nightmares. Which just goes to prove that you are powerful. But, we'll talk more about this later. I'm being summoned by Mother Willow." Click. That was the end of the conversation. No goodbyes. No I'll talk to you laters. Sarcastically, Victoria dropped her phone on the bed, and said, "Night. Love you too, grandmother."
Sighing, Victoria walked over to her closest, and slipped on her hoodie. She knew she wouldn't be sleeping anytime soon, and was not staying in this dorm room. She swiped her phone, and backpack up, and headed towards the lounge. Of course, she knew that it would be nearly vacant since it was pretty late. She didn't care though. She needed to get out of the room, and this was the only place she was willing to go. When she got to the cafe, she settled down on a cozy couch, and grabbed her laptop out of her backpack, and turned it on. She plugged in her headphones, and got lost in her own world. She needed to finish this paper for her charms class.
