Collision Falls Academy - home to a variety of creatures, including Vampires, Shapeshifters, and Wizards. Also calling the academy home are the lesser known breed of Specialists, and the semi-new species, if you can call it a species, of Hybrids.

With a yawn, Victoria rolled over, and shut off the alarm that seemed to be going off. She was not prepared for her lab today in Charms and Potions. Mr. Collins was a real hard ass when it came to making them the correct way. Victoria was use to being able to experiment, and try different things out, but not today. She was sure that he would be parternering them up, and forcing them to make charms for their partner. Victoria groaned, and looked over to her roommate, and saw that she was still sound asleep. "Lucky," she muttered as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed. Tori still wasn't sleeping well, and it seemed that the only time she did sleep well was when she was with Chase. Victoria rubbed her hands over face, and shook the boy from her thoughts, and went on to get dressed. She grabbed her backpack, and left the room as quietly as possible.

Victoria stopped in the cafe on her way to class, and grabbed a cup of coffee to go. She needed something to function, but not food. She wasn't not the kind of person to eat something before a lab. Anything could go wrong. With a sigh, Tori pushed open the doors to the lab, and found her seat. She sipped on her coffee as Mr. Collins went over what they were doing today. "Okay, you'll be getting in pairs today. But, I want you to get a partner you've never had before. I want you to get to know them, and then try to guess what kind of charm or potion they might need in their life. Next lab, we'll go on to actually make those charms or potions," as he finished his sentence, most of the class groaned. They really hated making new friends. People could be so cliquey.

Mr. Collins motioned for everyone to get moving, and they did. Victoria just sat there until the fray died down. As it seemed that everyone had a partner except Victoria, she turned to Mr. Collins with a weak smile. "Ah, Ms. Blackwell.. You can partner up with.. Jamie," Tori turned to look for the person he spoke of, and spotted him quickly. Victoria gave a small wave, and gathered up her things, and moved towards him. "Hey, Jamie." She sat down next to him, and smiled at him. Well, this could get interesting.

It was time to get up and get ready for class. Jamie sat up in bed. Jamie rubbed the sleepiness from his dark colored eyes. His brown hair was tussled from the night’s slumber. The young wizard slipped out of bed to dress himself. He got out of his pajamas and into his clothes. Jamie put a black t-shirt on. He knew that there was going to be a lab in Charms and Potions class today. And there was no way of telling the out come of the lab. A black shirt was most likely the best option. Jamie buttoned and zipped his jeans. His used his fingers to comb his hair. His hair was still a mess but it was much better than when he first woke up.

Jamie made sure that he had all his school things that he would need. After he got his backpack ready he peered into the wire cage that was on his nightstand. His little blond hamster was still asleep in the house. “Morning Pang,” he greeted his companion. “I’m going to class now. I’ll be back later. Okay?” Pang opened his eyes to look at Jamie. Jamie smiled back. Jamie opened the cage to leave Pang his breakfast. He closed the cage. He put on a red hoodie to keep warm. He grabbed his backpack. “I’m off, Pang.”

Jamie walked to the café to get some breakfast. A lot of students would come back to pick a quick breakfast and a cup of coffee. There were some students sitting around a small round table because they had time before their class started. Jamie got himself a blueberry muffin and a bottle of milk. He took his breakfast to class.

He took his seat in class. He had eaten his muffin on the way to class because he didn’t want any potions or anything get on his muffin. He wasn’t worry about his milk because it had a lid. He listened to Mr. Collins explain the assignment. Jamie watched his classmates pairing up. Being the shy person that he is, he wasn’t one to go to someone to ask to be partners. The shuffle of the class settled down. Jamie still didn’t have a partner.

A student waving caught Jamie’s attention. The student came over to Jamie and greeted him. “Hello Victoria.” Jamie had a partner. Now the two needed to get to know each other and then figure out what charm or potion they needed. Since they already knew each other names, they could move on to something else. Jamie tried to come up with a question to ask. “Um…what animal is your familiar?” It wasn’t the best question but it was something.

This was one class that Victoria truly enjoyed. It was something she was good at, but when it came to having to work with other people, she struggled a bit. It wasn't because she was shy or anything.. She just had a hard time relying on others to up hold their end of the project. She typically requested that she be allowed to work alone, and her teachers usually said yes. For this project, she knew this would not be the case. She would have to have a partner, and she was glad that she had gotten paired up with someone who seemed nice and decent. When she sat down, she put her things on the table, and turned to face Jamie.

Victoria decided to grab a piece of paper, and a pencil to take notes about Jamie. She would need to remember the details later on. Tori smiled, and said, "My familiar is a black cat named Oliver! What about your familiar?" Victoria pondered questions she could ask him, and began writing these questions down. She watched as Mr. Collins walked around the classroom, and smiled when he walked passed them. "Do you have a specialty? Mine is divination, but right now I can only see the past and present." Tori was working on the future part, but it took so much effort and energy out of her right now.
