It had been a little over a month since Mason had first set foot onto Collision Falls Academy. And although classes had just started, it seemed that his parents had wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible and had sent him off as soon as they found out that students could live there year round. Thankfully, the transition to the new school had gone pretty smoothly and he had made a new friend in a vampire by the name of Reid. Although the first meeting had a bit of a bump, they were able to smoothly slide over it. Reid had shown Mason around and Mason had found himself liking the vampire boys company and knew they would get along just fine.
But classes had finally started and knowing that he and Reid only shared one class wasn't sitting well with the young blonde. Sure. He would be able to make friends easily, but he'd rather have Reid in his first class of the day rather than the third class of the day. Making his way to the first class, slowly since he really was in no rush, he pulled his newly acquired lip ring into his mouth and moved it around a bit. His lip was very sore from the piercing as he had just gotten it on Saturday, and it was only Monday, but he couldn't stop himself from playing with the foreign object. Like he had thought, his parents had been absolutely livid when they found out their 14 year old son had gotten the piercing. But Mason had been a little glad that he finally had their attention again.
Of course it was short lived as after the raging phone call Saturday night he hadn't heard from his parents again. He sighed as he stood in front of the door that held his first class. The bell had rang a few minutes ago and it looked as if the teacher was already starting the lecture. This was the Controlling Your Powers class and only specialists had it. Which is why he had known right from the beginning that Reid didn't have it with him. Already he could see the flashes of auras from the door window and for a moment he closed his eyes and let out a groan. Damn. He knew he should've smoked before he headed over but he was already going to be late as it is and going to go find a safe spot to smoke wouldn't work. He opened his eyes and shook his head, he was just going to have to deal with it for the time being.
He hesitated a second longer before reaching out and pulling the door open. Instantly the teacher stopped talking and turned to look at him and as he looked from the teacher to the class he noticed some of them were staring as well. His eyes trained back to the teacher and he saw her eyes flicker over him a moment before it looked like she muttered something. But he couldn't really tell as already the many auras in the classroom were making his head hurt as all the colors of everyone's seemed to blend together. He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair as the teacher started talking again. "You must be the new student. Go ahead and take a seat next to Oliver." Mason went to ask who Oliver was but as he turned his head he noticed that there was only one seat left at the end of a row and another boy, who must've been Oliver, was sitting in the seat next to it.
He nodded his head slightly and turned to go walk to the seat. Along the way, he noticed a girl staring at him and his lips tilted into a slight smirk as he gave her a wink. As soon as she noticed the action her cheeks reddened. Mason passed her by and within a couple steps was sitting down in his seat. The teacher started talking again and as she did, Mason half listened as he leaned forward to rest his arms on the desk. It didn't take long for one of his arms to come up as he started playing with the lip ring, this time with his fingers as he pulled on it slightly. He closed his eyes for a moment and that was all it took for the teacher to be saying his name. "Since the new guy here thinks this class is so boring, why don't you start us off with today's agenda. Name. And power or powers if you have more than one." At the words 'new guy' Mason's eyes had popped open. And now having all the attention back on him, his hand dropped from his mouth as he stared back at her for a moment. He didn't want to be the first one to talk! What kind of teacher was she?! He continued to just stare at her, his eyes slightly wide. He opened his mouth to talk, but nothing came out.
The teacher sighed before speaking again. "We'll come back to you then. Since he's deciding to be silent, who wants to start us off? Oliver?"
