Dressing Style: Reid is more the type to dress for comfort rather then style. You will most likely see him in a shirt and a pair of jeans. However he dresses completely different when he is dressing to impress, wearing only the best of the best. He is very insecure when he dresses to impress and doesn't know what others will think of the sudden change in his dressing style.
General Appearance: I don't think you would really have a reaction to Reid. He just looks like your average teenage boy. However people may stop and stare if you take the time to look into his eyes. Reid has a weird set of eyes. They change color all the time. One day they’re blue, the next green, or hazel, grey, brown. It was a strange characteristic he had inherited from his mother. He looks like the type of guy who is easy to get along with, and he is. Reid’s clothes around the academy are laid back and easy, inviting anyone to talk to him.

GENERAL::Reid is a nice boy. He always did what he was told, followed the rules. Although a little awkward at times and is kind of nervous, he can be very flirtatious at times, but when it comes down to the ones he loves he is at a lost for words. If someone were to look past his flirtatious ways and then dig deeper past his awkwardness you would find a heart of gold. He would do anything to protect the ones he loves. He doesn't trust easily and pushes away any person that could possibly care about him. Reid is afraid of commitment that's why. Although in his heart of gold he has a romantic part, he doesn't usually use it to help himself and it is shoved in a box and shipped away.

Reid is a fun loving, nice, quiet, dyslexic, ADHD ball of energy. Reid’s favorite band is Headley. He listens to them all the time and can not stop. He finds them very good. Although judging by his appearance you’d think Reid would be into rock or pop, something of that nature. You could not be more wrong, he is a country music lover at heart. This means Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Eli Young Band even a little Taylor Swift even though he’d never admit that to anyone. Reid is a huge music buff.

Reid is a little hesitant a times to make friends, not because he doesn't like the students at the academy but because he is still afraid of his powers. Vampires can control their powers over time but sometimes one can just snap from lack of blood or anything really. Reid is very afraid that something like that will happen to him. He has heard of killings that happened in town from the vampires, he doesn't want to be that kind of vampire.

HISTORY::Natalie and Robert Lockwood were just your average typical vampire couple. After they left the academy they got married and started their lives together and started a family. Reid was born March 13th 1945. he was born a vampire and raised for the beginning part of his life as a normal human being. It wasn't until he was five years old that his parents told him that he was a vampire. They would have kept the secret longer except Reid was starting public school  and Natalie and Robert had to teach their young vampire the do's and Dont's of being a vampire.

Reid's childhood, spent in New York, was like everyone else’s. You could even say his interest in music was like everyone else’s—playing air guitar on raining days, being a “rock star” most Halloweens, even jumping on the living room’s couch… he was just having fun, just being a kid. For his eighth birthday, he had asked his mom for a guitar—Reid’s interest in music growing bigger right after he turned five. His mom did get him one, though not for his birthday… as a joint present: half birthday, half going-away present.

When Reid was eight years old his father went on a business trip to Romania but never returned. Natalie was frantic she never stopped listening to police scanners in Romania. Clinging on to the thing strand of hope that he might turn up.

Reid and his mom moved to Collision Falls soon after his birthday, relocating because of her job. Now, Reid didn't mind Collision Falls. He just didn't like the people there. Being only eight, and starting school in the middle of the year, the other kids would make fun of him, with really no reason to. Other than the fact that Reid was a little shall we say special with his dyslexia and ADHD, but he didn't see a problem in that. That being said, with his new guitar, Reid turned to music. It was kind of like therapy for him, though he didn't write his own songs, it just calmed him. Made everything better.

By the time Reid reached middle school, his mother started criticizing him, saying that his music was supposed to be a hobby that he shouldn't spend so much time on something that would get him nowhere. Basically, that it was a waste of time… and that he should stop. His mindset being: if my mom couldn't like it, who could? Gradually, Reid stopped… losing some self-esteem on the way. He started trying very hard to be normal, after that. His grades were better, and he had way more friends. He liked making his mom happy, though he wasn't himself anymore. His mother's hurtful words pushed the music right out of him, he didn't have the heart for it anymore. 

When Reid was ten, Natalie received a letter in the mail saying that mortals had spotted Robert along the coast line of France. It was at this moment that Natalie realized that she couldn't look after Reid and search for Robert herself. So that night she left for France and in doing so dropped off her 10 year old son at the academy. He started his new life as a skilled vampire in a sea of freaks....Thanks mom.
