Condolences to the Gentle Hearts who couldn't bear to TRY.
There was a little girl standing in a field. She danced in the sunshine and rolled in the flowers that sprung from the ground. There was a hill. The girl was at the top and Cecilia stood at the bottom of the hill. It was steep and as Cecilia began to climb the girl still danced and laughed. When she finally got to the top of the hill, the girl was gone. A panic filled Cecilia's chest because she knew what the world was filled with and what it did to little girls who loved the world and believed the best in everyone and everything.
The clinking of coffee mugs brought her out of her daydream. She sat alone at a table for two with a cup of coffee in hand. Caffeine was in Cecilia's eyes an awful toll on ones body. She didn't drink it in any form and yet here she was, sitting in the academy's cafe with an untouched cup of java. Whipped cream topped the hot drink and chocolate sprinkles decorated the white frothy topping. Cecilia tapped her foot either impatiently or from nerves, she couldn't tell. Everyone has a tell that they did subconsciously or consciously when they were nervous. Cecilia's was tapping her foot, picking at her nails and twirling her hair. It changes so that no one can really tell when she was nervous because it keeps flipping.
She waited and waited and waited. what for? She wasn't sure. It was difficult just sitting and doing nothing. Cecilia was a restless person and so sitting in a coffee shop with a coffee that was not going to be drunk was completely pointless. She swiped her finger through the whipped topping and sucked on it, it was going to be the only part of her coffee she was going to eat...might as well.
People watching was her favorite activity. As she continued to snack on whipped cream and sprinkles she watched the boys and girls, vampires and shifters, anyone. The first girl that walked in had an air of selfishness about her with a tinge of know it all. The next boy to walk in was.....oh wow. There were no words, she just smiled. REALLY smiled.
She waved, this boy was one she knew.
