COUNT: 522 TAG: Caspian OUTFIT:link NOTES: Should we have Caspian's sister come in at the end for drama? | Thanks to her English teacher, Summer was in need of a book that she hadn’t read since back when she was in 7th grade. Back then she had borrowed the book from the library. This was not going to happen now though since almost all the English classes were doing a project on the book. Not only that, but her teacher wanted them to highlight certain passages. Summer rolled her eyes as she walked out of the classroom. Great. Now she had to spend her Monday afternoon going to Collision Falls and trying to find How to Kill a Mockingbird. She let out a sigh as she trudged her way to her dorm room. She definitely wasn’t going to be taking all her school stuff with her around town. After dropping off her backpack, grabbing her wallet, and changing her clothes slightly, she headed off campus and towards the town. The walk there was short thanks to how good she was feeling because of the weather. The sun was shining, but there was a slight breeze. The breeze carried all the scents of fall through the air and it made Summer pause in her steps and close her eyes to breathe in the air. It was so much more refreshing out here than in the campus. She opened her eyes and they flicked around the streets of town. There was a bookstore in the mall, but she didn’t feel like dealing with the crowds today. Whilst walking further down the road, she couldn’t help but stop and get a coffee at the Starbucks in town. It wasn’t too packed since schools had only gotten out about an hour ago. She was able to get her Carmel Frappuccino in only a few minutes, and although she didn’t need the caffeine, the taste was something she found interesting. She continued walking until she came to a small bookstore that was past the mall. She tilted her head back and looked at the sign before shrugging and walking in. Automatically her hand went to her sunglasses as she lifted them to the top of her head. While she wasn’t very happy that she had to find that book today, she couldn’t be happy that she was in a bookstore. I smile graced her face as she glanced around at all the shelves of books. She noticed that she was still holding the door open and as she let it go for it to close, a little dinging was heard. Her head turned and saw a little bell near the top and she couldn’t help but smile again. This is what bookstores were supposed to look like. Her sense of smell started picking up the smell of leather, paper, and ink and she couldn’t help but let out a sigh as she stepped more into the bookstore. Since she was here, she might as well have a glance around the place. With that in mind, she walked towards the first row of books but was quite surprised that no one had been attending the front desk. Maybe they were among the rows of books already though. | ||||||
