PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION::
Nick Miller is played by: Dylan O’Brien. Nick stands at 5’11” and weighs approximately 150 pounds. While on the lighter scale of his height, he still has the slight muscle definition from going on runs and the occasional gym workout; this is rare though, and really has to be talked into it. He has slightly pale skin that tans when he gets out in the sun, although that isn’t too often. He has short dark brown hair that he usually leaves flat or will style slightly. It doesn’t get very long, just slight long enough to touch the tips of his ears. His eyes are a light brown color. As far as clothes are concerned, Nick dresses in anything he deems confortable. From skate shoes to vans, from regular jeans to shorts, from t-shirts to V-necks to button-downs. He doesn’t really have a set style and instead just throws on whatever he might want to wear that day. He will occasionally wear glasses, but only when he’s been staring at a computer monitor, TV, or book for too long.

LIKES::
*Movies: The more action-filled the better they are.
*Video Games: Same with movies. He is a gamer and can spend nights playing all sorts of games.
*RPGs: Whether tabletop or online. He enjoys the type of close-knit community these type of things have.
*Swimming: This he doesn’t have to be talked into at all. If you start to mention swimming, chances are he’s already running to go change into board shorts.
*Driving: He’s the type to go driving in the middle of the night, no destination in mind.
DISLIKES::
*Guys: More particularly guys who look at or talk to his twin.
*Cats: He’s more of a dog guy.
*Tea: He’d rather have coffee or an energy drink.
*People who don’t know what they want: He’ll be stuck with the same costumer at his job for a long time because they don’t know what kind of movie they want. He loves his job, but not these people.
*Motorcycles: He will never have one and never ride one. He doesn’t see why they are so cool. They are death machines.
POSITIVE::
*Protective: Thanks to having a twin (whose also a girl) he’s become protective. Not the kind to freak out, but the kind to be there and defend them from the bad.
*Focused: When he gets a task, he sets out to make sure it is completed and won’t give up until its done.
*Perceptive: He picks up on the littlest things.
*Fast Reflexes: His reflexes are pretty fast for the average person and he can catch a pencil in mid-air if it’s falling.
*Intelligent: He’s actually an intelligent guy if he puts his mind to it. He just tends to not really care what his grades are.

*Stubborn: Like his twin he can be quite stubborn and will stick to what he thinks.

*OCD: Goes hand-in-hand with the focused task. He will complete certain things to perfection.

*Signing to his sister: Whenever they are in public, instead of talking about someone to his sister, he’d rather sign to them. He thinks of it as their own secret language since not many people know sign.

GENERAL::
Nick is a really sweet guy, unless you wrong his family. His is extremely protective of his sister, in that if he sees a guy wolf-whistle at her, he’ll glare at the guy and make sure he knows to back off. He doesn’t ever want to see her get heartbroken, or worse. He’s protected her since the first time someone made fun of her for being deaf. He’s a bit of a kid at heart, and will always be, in the fact that he can get lost in gaming, be it video games/board games/rpgs. There will be days when he will go on almost binges and won’t sleep. The bet thing to do in these scenarios is just unplug whatever he is playing, or put it away, and not listen to him complain. Maybe even slip some Nyquil in a drink or something.

He can be a very focused guy, with slight OCD concerning some things. One is his job. He’s probably one of the best employees and this is thanks to that. He makes sure everything is where it needs to be so that he can help people find what they want as fast as he can. He’s quite intelligent, but he doesn’t show it in school. He does perfectly fine in the classroom, behaving/getting work done, but give him homework and it will never get done. Thanks to not being able to understand his sister when they were younger, the only time her being deaf actually put a dent in things, he learned to pick up and gestures, looks, feelings, etc. to better understand whatever hi sister had wanted. He’s still like that to this day and at times will know what you want before you even realize it.

Thanks to playing all those games, and being in soccer when he was younger, he has fast reflexes and will often catch something as it falls. He’s also good with distance and can speculate an almost accurate distance. Nick can be quite stubborn and in some instances won’t back down from what he wants. This has gotten him into the occasionally fight with his sister, but it’s nothing that they don’t get over later. His humor is very different, as he prefers to use sarcasm a lot. And to him it’s funny; whilst to others it can be quite rude. Not only that, but if he feels the need to get defensive, you can bet that his first reaction is to get sarcastic, which is not always the best of things to do.

Nick believes that all the paranormal and supernatural being is real. He doesn’t have any proof of this though. He does go to these little meetings where people talk about their ‘encounters’ with anything different. Although he believes that stuff is real, in the back of his mind, he doesn’t want it to be real at all. Little does he know what kind of things go bump in the night and what kind of things he has interacted with on an almost daily basis.

HISTORY::
Danielle was fifteen when she meet Tyler. To start he was a charming, down to earth country guy. He was very gentlemanly, and for the first several months their relationship was perfect. Then one night they went out on one of their dates, and everything was particularly magical. Well, Danielle's parents both worked late so the house was empty. One thing led to another, and of course, the rest is history.

Tyler (surprise surprise) disappeared a few weeks later. Danielle still doesn't know exactly what happened or where he went, but he left her and she hadn't seen or heard from him since.

A few weeks after Tyler left, Danielle realized she was pregnant. She was terrified. Here she was, almost 16, and pregnant. Well, she wasted no time in preparing. She knew she had to get a job...she obviously couldn't just magically be able to pay for all the things a baby would need...so she got a job at the local pet store. She had always known a lot about animals, she studied them non-stop, so she gained more responsibility fairly quickly.

It wasn't long at all before she learned that she wasn't only having a child, she was having twins. Now, it was pretty horrifying for her to be having a kid at all at the young age she was, but to be having twins? That was a whole new nightmare in itself. So she began to work as much as she could, for she knew that once the children got here she'd need to have as much money together as she could, and she wouldn't be able to work as much as she could now.

Not that it was easy. There were days she could hardly stand up for her back and feet hurting...but she didn't allow this to stop her. She pushed through the tough days and just did everything that she could to keep going.

About 8 months into her pregnancy, she was working late, closing actually, and she was the only employee in the store. She was moving to lock the front door when a masked man burst through, knocking Danielle flat onto her stomach. The pain was instantaneous, and she couldn't do much to stop the thief. Eventually he got what he wanted and just left, and Danielle was able to make it to the phone to call an ambulance. She passed out before they got there.

When she woke up, she was lying in a hospital room, complete with white walls and white sheets and white curtains. She also immediately was conscious of one thing...her babies were no longer inside her. Her parents were both in the room, and were more than happy to see her awake. They assured her that the babes were both perfectly fine, but the doctors had had to go on with an emergency C-section to save them as Danielle had gone through terrible stress and would have lost them both had they stayed.

The days and weeks went by, and months. The boy, whom Danielle had named Nicholas, was obviously a healthy and happy boy. The girl on the other hand, whom Danielle dubbed Tara, was...different. The children were both several months old now, and Nick responded to her voice. Responded to different tones and noises. Tara on the other hand, seemed not to notice such things. She seemed happy enough, but where Nick would look over when Danielle spoke to him, Tara was oblivious to her sounds.

Danielle wasted no time in getting her to a doctor, where it was quickly determined that she was deaf. Danielle, now almost seventeen, went to the store and got an American Sign Language dictionary, and took classes to learn sign language, which she started using around Tara, and also Nick, as much as she possibly could.

Tara responded well to this, and when Nick began learning to speak, and sign as well, Danielle began to search out speech therapists for Tara. It would, of course, be much more difficult for the girl to learn, but Danielle knew it was possible, and sure enough, but the time Tara was eight, she could speak as well as any other eight year old.

Nick of course was still in the picture. As the two children grew up they were the best of friends. Nick protected his sister and made sure that no one picked on her for her disability. Nick of course had learned sign language and understood that as easily as English, so the two had no problems communicating in any situation.

And so life went on. Now they are both healthy teens, and live happily in Collision Falls with their mom. Nick enjoys pestering his sister at times, but will go to great lengths to protect her. There are just something’s he won’t be able to protect her from.
