STEPHANIEfrancesHALE
VAMPIRE
I've always been the kind of girl, that hid my face
So afraid to tell the world, what I've got to say.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Steph is rather tall for a girl at 5’8”, but other than that is rather small. She’s quite skinny and tend to look a bit delicate. She’s pale and has delicate facial features. When she was human this actually reflected her strength but now that she’s a vampire her looks are a bit misleading. Even though she never really uses her vampire strength. She has strawberry blond hair that she keeps long and usually wavy or curled and brown eyes. Steph is very girly and her style reflects this. She prefers dresses and skirts and loves getting dressed up.

GENERAL::
Stephanie is generally a very nice. You would think being a popstar all the fame would have turned her into a total diva but it hasn’t. She actually hates most of the things that came with her fame. Well not the nice clothes and lots of money part. She is a bit spoiled in that way, but tries not to be a brat about it. Steph is friendly to most people, she’s that person who always says please and thank you all the time. Her mother taught her proper southern hospitality and Steph tries her best to practice that. She also has a tendency to say sorry all the time even for things that aren’t really her fault.
Steph used to have a lot more confidence but since she’s been turned she’s turned quite a bit more anxious. She’s a bit more shy as well. She was shy as a young girl and now has reverted back to that again. She tends to avoid those who aren’t vampires, especially humans out of fear that she’ll hurt them. Even though her sire was the one who made sure she got into Collision Falls, she’s still afraid of him. She often had nightmares about the night she turned which why she avoids sleeping.
She’s a sweet girl and can be a very good friend. Although she hasn’t had a whole bunch of those since becoming famous and then being turned. So she’s a rather lonely girl. Part of that is self-inflicted, but she was lonely before becoming a vampire. She tries not to let it get to her but it does sometimes. Despite all the fame and whatnot, Steph is actually rather quiet. You would think being a popstar she’d be very outgoing but she’s actually a bit of an introvert. She doesn’t mind being social or going to parties, it’s just that those things can drain her a bit. Then she has to be alone for a bit to recharge.

HISTORY::
Stephanie was born to a young single mother, Maybelle Hale, on the morning of June 3rd. Her mother was only twenty at the time and didn’t have a ton of money. She tried to stay with Will for awhile but his drinking and occasional abuse eventually led her to leave. She moved back her parents and worked a bunch of random odd jobs. Steph spent a lot of time being raised by her grandparents rather than her mother. Her father was not really in the picture and while he sent child support he rarely came to visit her despite having admittedly limited visitation rights.
In school she wasn’t exactly popular. She was quiet and shy and preferred to stick to her drawing and writing. Girls tended to bully her and even when she won the school talent show at the age of 8 for her singing, it still didn’t help much. Instead people just got jealous. She had her one friend, Anna, that she met when she started middle school. During those years, Steph started to enter more and more singing competitions, sometimes with songs she wrote herself, sometimes not. Her grandmother was often the one who drove her to the competitions.
When she was thirteen, she was spotted by a talent agent. Her mother pushed her to sign a contract for the record label, hoping that this would allow her daughter to really be something because of her singing talent. Steph moved out to LA for the record label and decided to become a emancipated minor so she could at least be in control of her own money. By fifteen she had released her first album. Which became a huge hit, especially with tweens and teens. Not a single song on the album was written by Steph, thanks to pressure from the record company and the manager they assigned to her.
She went on tour, which for a rather introverted girl was very draining. She loved the singing part, but performing for such large crowds could be a bit much. For her sixteenth birthday the record label threw a huge party. Steph was less excited about it then the models and other stars who were her “friends” were. Yet she managed to go. That was very she unfortunately met the man who would become her sire, Lysander Delacorte. He looked older, by only a few years. Little did poor Stephanie know he was actually a few centuries older.
He was charming as well and Steph was tipsy enough to be a bit flirtier than usual. They exchanged numbers and he proceeded to take her out a few times. Steph had a nagging feeling something was up with him, besides just his odd name. Yet she was charmed by the fact that he actually listened to what she had to say and seemed interested in her lyrics. Unfortunately her suspicions were confirmed the night she finally went home with him. Instead of just hooking up, he bit her, drained her and turned her. Steph had tried to fight him off, but a delicate human is no match for vampire strength.
When she woke up, starving for blood she found a blood bag and a note left on Lysander’s table, saying he would be back in a few hours and there was more blood in the fridge. Also the ring she always wore was missing from her finger. Disgusted with herself, Steph drank the whole blood bag and two more. Lysander returned with her ring, now spelled so she could walk in the sun. Despite this Steph refused to go outside other than making him drive her back to her own place. She then spent the next two months holed up in her apartment.
She ignored calls from her manager, other people at her record label and even her mother. She let her mom know she was alive and then ignored all further attempts at communication. Lysander was the only one who saw her and that was mostly only to drop off blood bags for her. Any of his attempts at talking to her were met with glares and slammed doors. Steph was simultaneously furious at him and a bit scared. She couldn’t get the terror of the night he turned her out of her head. It was a rather awful experience for her.
Eventually Lysander got sick of her homebody act and told her about Collision Falls. Steph was originally rather resistant to the idea. She was perfectly happy to just stay alone in her apartment for the rest of forever. Lysander was having none of it and after a rather shouty fight, the once again scared Steph agreed to go. Mostly to get him to stop yelling. Now she’s at the Academy and not supery happy about it.

From another site
Mariana wasn’t the type to go out. She was usually either working or at her apartment painting. Going out meant having to deal with people and that was something she preferred to avoid. Sure she was better at controlling her gift now, but that didn’t mean she was going to make it harder on herself on purpose. Which meant a whole lot of staying home, away from people. Errands were typically the only thing on Mariana’s social calendar. Which admittedly was not really a social event. Unless you counted talking to the cashier. Mariana did, most other people probably wouldn’t.
When one could feel everything everyone else was feeling, even running errands could be overwhelming. Just a run to starbucks could be unpleasant for Mariana. Especially if it was crowded. She had started to learn how to tune most of it out, but crowds still freaked her out. Work was draining enough, but a girl had to make money. So she tended to keep any extra activities to a minimum. Yet here she was at Fuse, which not only was a social event, but rather crowded. All because one of her coworkers was singing that night and begging Mariana to come.
Nervousness had been pouring off the poor girl when she asked and since Mariana could feel it, she just couldn’t say no. She stood awkwardly by the door, holding her jacket as she looked around. She was too young to drink, so that was off the table. Besides she had never had alcohol before. Tonight was not going to be the night to start. Instead when she got to the bar she ordered a coke and then turned away. There were too many people by the bar. She rolled her shoulders in an attempt to loosen herself up, a slight grimace on her face.
There wasn’t even an empty table in the place. She made her way to the back, where at least there were less people. Still nowhere to sit that didn’t include other people. Mariana moved about a bit, getting more and more uncomfortable. Finally she found a booth with just one person in it. She could handle one person, she told herself. Taking a deep breath she stepped closer. ”Hi..hi um..I” She paused to take another shaky breath, ”I don’t normally do this but there’s nowhere else to sit and I’d well I’d rather not stand the whole time I’m watching my friend perform.” She smiled slightly, hoping the man wasn’t going to be an ass.
