COUNT: 663 TAG: Open OUTFIT:Link NOTES:Does anyone want to join Summer under the stars? | When Summer had set out from her dorm that morning, she had had no idea how long she was really going to stay out for. Her room was a lonely place when it was just her and her music. She still had not been assigned a roommate for this year and it was a little odd. Her roommates from last year had left the academy. They were old enough that they didn't have to be there any longer and they controlled their hunger like champions. Summer was good on that front as well. She too didn't really react around blood. Of course, the only blood she had ever really been around was when she was feeding or humans had paper cuts. She had never been near any serious injury: and for that, she was worried. She slung her small backpack over her shoulder. It was filled with a blanket, a couple books (in case one got too boring), some sunglasses, and her phone with headphones. She knew where she was going, and even though the area was more sheltered than what her room was, it was still different and every once in awhile she'd hear the different sounds of the animals near her or she'd here the small creeks running just beyond the edge. Yes. She was headed to a certain meadow in the woods. One that she had came across during her first year at this school. Barely anyone came across it when she was there, but she was sure people knew of it. She headed out the dorm buildings and started making her way to the forest. The sun was shining bright and it made the ring on her finger twinkle as her hand swung. She would've placed her sunglasses on, if she wasn't going to the forest where she didn't need them right away. As she stepped into the tree line, the temperature dropped slightly. The canopy above her blocking the sun from her body and creating little light streams and the sun tried to breach the leaves. Her feet carried her automatically to the meadow, her eyes taking in the trees, and her ears taking in the small bird chirps and animal scurrying she could hear. She had no doubt that some of the shifters were in here in their shifts enjoying the day off. As she finally came across the meadow and walked out of the trees, she glanced around. No one had shown up here and for that she was grateful. She walked to the center of the small grass filled meadow and looked up. The canopy had created a perfect circle above the meadow so the area was bathed in the Suns rays. She grinned as she laid out the blanket before sitting down on top of it. For awhile she just laid on her back. Eyes closed as she let her body soak in the warm was of the sun. As she rolled over, her hand blindly searched for her sunglasses before pulling them onto her face. With sunglasses now on, Summer laying on her stomach, and a book in front of her, she started reading about Paper Towns. In what seemed like only a few minutes, but in reality had been hours, Summer placed the book down and stared at it. The way it ended confused her slightly and all she could think was, "What?" She jumped at the sound of her own voice before burying her head in her arm and giggling in spite of herself. She glanced around, the quietness of the forest finally getting to her. She slipped her sunglasses off and realized it was nighttime. Now that the birds had stopped chirping, she could hear the water running in the creek a few yards away from the tree line. She smiled as she rolled onto her back again. Her eyes tracing the shapes of the constellations she knew before just making up her own pictures. | |||||
