PERSONAL INFORMATION
NICKNAME:: Jaxon or Jax
AGE:: 16
GENDER:: Male
OCCUPATION::Student/Juvenile prisoner newly released on parole
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION::
"Jaxon Shaddix is played by: Dylan Sprayberry"
SPECIES INFORMATION
HYBRID
Influences: Shifter and vampire
Diet: Jaxon's diet consists mostly of rare and even raw meats with your typical human food and blood bag on the side. Typically sticking to a strictly meat filled diet with a few blood bags a week is enough to satisfy both the cravings of his wolf shift and his vampire half. Jaxon can eat normal human food, however, that alone will not take care of his nutritional needs or keep the wolf and blood lust at bay. With that being said, although he can eat normal human food, Jaxon usually prefers not to as most of it is disgusting to him, especially heavily spiced and sweet foods but raw foods and light flavors or meaty flavors are tolerable and even liked (ie; he'll skip the potato chips, icecream and candy bars but bring on the jerky and pork rinds). Not getting enough meat and blood in his diet can result in easier lose of control, agitation, becoming easily irritable and antsy.
Shifter Abilities:
Primary Shift: Jaxon's primary shift is that of a Tundra Wolf which is a subspecie of grey wolf, one of the largest species of wolf and it is the same specie of wolf that runs in Jaxon's family on the shifter side. Since childhood, Jaxon has had a difficult time controlling his shifts as he had no one to teach him how as well a combination of that, intermittent explosive disorder and a diet deprived of the nutrients he needs. That being said, shifting has always been an involuntary act and a result of high emotion as well as lack of a healthy diet and not to mention painful and even frightening. However, not only is his lack of control due to never having any training or teaching to do so but it is also simply a natural result of being a hybrid and not having as much control as a full blooded shifter as well as having two very strong bloodlines of opposing species constantly clashing and fighting over control of his body. Both his vampire and shifter halfs are dominant, aggressive and predatory and they both want to be the predominant specie. It sounds as if these two halfs are separate entities trying to take over Jaxon but that is exactly what it feels like when two very opposing species with long and strong bloodlines are mixed and coexisting in one body. Even with training and teaching to control his emotions, blood lust and any other trigger that may make him lose control, it isn't likely he would ever have full control and that he will instead, always be in a constant battle for dominance over his inhuman instincts. Eating a proper diet to keep both his vampire and shifter halfs satisfied does help tremendously to keep both under control and learning to not be so afraid of both sides of who and what he is and how to accept them would definitely be beneficial as well however.
In this form, Jaxon is, just as is in his human form, considerably small and youthful in appearance, taking on the look of an adolescent wolf as well as the attitude of one. He is most certainly not full grown or mature and anyone could see that by the 'puppy-like' build and fuzziness still in his fur, the fact that he hasn't quite grown into his paws yet and the clumsiness that comes with that last point. As was mentioned above, he typically is at the mercy of his instincts in this form but depending on the circumstances, he can retain some form of control and human thought although his instincts are stronger when it comes down to it. Those close to him whose scent he has come to recognize and associate as friendly, he may recognize during his shifts and may not be so aggressive toward, although that doesn't guarantee anything. Throughout the duration of a shift and once the wolf has expended a lot of energy and calmed down, he might even gain complete control for a short while but that doesn't mean he won't be subject to his instincts (he may not run around attacking anyone or any animals and might be fully aware of what is happening for the most part controlling his actions but if he senses danger or gets a whiff of a scent that sets him off, his instincts will take over and become the driving force behind his actions). So, it may not be that every time he shifts he is out of control and attacking people but that simply his instincts have more control over human thought and emotion.
His wolf form looks something like this, only with bright blue eyes and a little younger:
Secondary Shift: Although most shifter hybrids only have one shift, Jaxon has two but he is completely unaware of that fact as each time he takes on this shift, he has no memory of it afterward. As well as shifting back without a trace of memory of ever shifting at all, during this secondary shift of his, he is oblivious to his actions and not consciously in control of them. Seeing as he has no knowledge of this shift, he cannot willfully take on this form or shift back on his own. However, this shift only comes about during sleep as a result of a nightmare or high stress and is, in a sense, his body's way of naturally defending itself when he is overwhelmed. This form could be considered a type of sleep walking as well as a defense mechanism as, for all intents and purposes that is what it happening when he takes on this shift. Unlike true sleep walking, he appears to be very much alert and aware of his surroundings and reacts as if he is consciously in control but if you know him outside of this shift, you could easily catch on to the fact that Jaxon is completely at the mercy of this shifts instincts. Shifting back is an easy thing even if he cannot force it to happen on his own as typically when he falls asleep in this shift, he will wake in his human form and have no recollection of what has happened. This shift is a canine much like his primary shift, but unlike that shift, this one is much more innocent and instead of a predatory driven wolf, this one is a playful, friendly ,curious but slighly shy puppy (it really all depends on who is around and who Jazon is consciously comfortable around). In this form he acts much in the same way you would expect your typical puppy to. If something specific was bothering him that cause him to take on this shift, the puppy may act a little strangely such as it may seem particularly interested in a certain object or person (ie; keeps going to the same spot in a room, won't leave a certain spot or will follow a specific person). The appearance of the puppy is always the same no matter Jaxon's own age and appearance and each time he takes on this shift, he takes the form of a black and white husky puppy with bright blue eyes to rival those of his wolf's eyes and seems to be around a two or so months old.
His puppy form looks something like this:
Vampire Abilities:
Immortality, eternal youth and health: Jaxon, like all full blooded vampires and vampire hybrids, has the potential to live forever should he survive but like all creatures, he can be killed, he simply cannot die from aging or natural causes. Along with that, Jaxon can, should he choose, forever keep a youthful appearance but he has yet to put a stop to his aging and that is entirely up to when he decides to. Due to his vampire half, Jaxon's immune system is considerably higher than a humans or a shifters and it is unusual for him to catch human sicknesses and diseases but it is entirely possible and does happen occasionally. When Jaxon does become sick however, it most likely will not last as long as it would for a human, shifter or otherwise mortal creature and it may cause some strange side effects such as altering his senses (heighten them even more so to the point of it being unbearable or even decrease them to where they are on par with a humans, etc), causing him to lose control easier or say partially shifting on accident while sneezing.
Enhanced Healing: Much like a full blooded vampire, Jaxon heals much quicker than it is possible for a human to and can survive wounds that would be fatal to humans. Considering he is only half vampire, this enhanced healing of his isn't as fast acting as a full blooded vampire's would be and wounds that a vampire would bounce back from instantaneously will keep him down for longer and
more serious wounds that a vampire could easily walk away from could completely incapacitate him for a period of time, although he will survive through it. As with full blooded vampires, drinking blood helps to speed the healing process and for Jaxon, it may even be the line between life and death when greatly wounded.
Compulsion: Being from a strong bloodline of vampires on one side, Jaxon, although he is only a hybrid he has the ability to use compulsion but it is considerably weak in comparison to a full blooded vampire's compulsion. Depending on the strength of will of the person he is trying to compulse, it may be a difficult or even impossible task. When using this ability, Jaxon has to put forth much more effort in order to get desired effects than a full blooded vampire would. That being said, Jaxon isn't good at this ability and has only ever tried it a few times but he for the most part, views this ability as rather useless. During the time that he is using this ability, his pupils dilate and his voice becomes smoother and clearer in the mind of the one he is attempting to compulse which makes it difficult for them to ignore and easier for him to place thoughts in their head. (Being a hybrid and with Jaxon's lack of skill and practice with this ability, it's likely he will only be able to completely compulse a weaker minded, gullible and easily tricked person and possibly put thoughts and temptations in people with stronger will's minds (ie; someone younger or who is usually easily tricked can be compulsed completely and someone who has a stronger will and resolve and who is more intelligent may, for a moment may confuse what it is Jaxon is trying to compulse them to do for their own thoughts and wants and may even have an urge to do so but could easily recognize them as not their own thoughts and can block Jaxon out).
Additional Effects:
Enhanced Senses, agility and strength: Due to both his vampire and shifter halves, Jaxon's senses are far more keen than those of a human's and could be considered more sensitive than a vampire's or a shifter's alone. Specifically, his hearing, sense of smell and vision at night are heightened significantly more than his other senses with the combination of both his vampric and wolf-like senses. Of course, there is a down fall to having enhanced senses and that is that certain stimuli can be harmful and can even incompacitate him (ie; very loud sounds, flashing bright lights or really bright lights, intense scents, etc). As with his senses, his agility, speed and strength are much superior to those of a human's and he can easily out do them.
Sensitivity to sunlight: Although Jaxon may not burn to death in sunlight, due to his vampire half, he is affected by it and in order to function normally and without discomfort, he must wear a day light ring like a full blooded vampire. Without a daylight ring, direct contact with the sunlight can cause his skin to burn and/or itch and crawl and all together be uncomfortable as well as he burns much easier than your average fair skinned human. Not only is his skin sensitive to sunlight but his eyes are as well and it may cause a similar reaction in that his eyes may burn or itch and his vision may even be obscured. Prolonged periods of time in the sun are guranteed to come with a sun burn and most likely a headache. Living by day without a daylight ring is possible however as wearing sunglasses, long sleeves hats or hoodies with the hood up can help deter the effects from the sun but it is not fool proof. Jaxon is usually not seen without his daylight ring but he can manage without it if he wears clothing that covers the majority of his skin, sunglasses and or sticks to shaded areas and indoors.
Wolf-ish Behavior: Jaxon's personality as well as behavior is very much affected by his wolfish instincts from his shifter half. As such, he is prone to aggression, especially when it comes to food and belongings as well is territorial which can have the same effect and then some. When angry, frustrated and even intimidated or otherwise provoked, his eyes may shift and he may even give off a warning or aggressive growl. Not all of his wolfish behaviors that carry over into his everyday behavior are aggressive and other things such as body language, and social etiquette (pack mentality).
PERSONALITY INFORMATION
LIKES::
- Movies/Music/Video Games and other such sources of entertainment: Although it's more likely to find Jaxon outside in his free time, he does enjoy video games, tv, movies and music just as much as the next teenager. When it comes to music, Jaxon has a specific taste in genre that centers around all things rock and roll and has a disliking for pop, hip hop, rap, country and death metal but the occasional screamo and techno is ok. As for video games, Jaxon hasn't played any for a while but anything gory and violent is right up his ally but a game with a good story line, good characters and animation is definitely welcome. Along with his preference for video games, Jaxon has a liking for violent and gory movies and tv shows be them action or horror but anything other than 'chick flicks' and movies with heavy religious content are watchable.
- Working out and running: Jaxon was never really a very health concious individual nor did he care much for working out and staying in shape as he naturally has a fast metabolism and it's unlikely for him to gain a lot of weight. During the time he spent in juvie however, he has taken to working out and running the yard as a way to cope with things and as a way to keep his wolf side at bay (even if he wasn't able to shift or use any of his abilities due to the power suppressing barrier of the building, the wolf still played a part in his life and affected his personality and actions at time).
- Rare and raw meat as well as blood: Jaxon is very much a carnivore and as such, he favors meat over other foods as well as has a craving for blood as a result of his vampire half. It is rare to find him consuming anything other than blood or raw meat but he will indulge in the occasional soda or other junk food (nothing too salty, too sweet or sour; he'll eat plain potato chips over salt and vinegar or sour cream and onion for example).
- Dogs and other canines: Being that his main shift is a wolf and his secondary shift is a husky puppy, Jaxon by default favors canines over other animals. As well as simply favoring canines when it comes to animals, he is more tolerant of canine shifters than other shifters.
- Boys: Jaxon is gay and that is something he has known for a few years now but it is something he has not come to terms with and doesn't want to accept. He is in heavy denial of his sexuality and even when it is painfully obvious to others around him, he will continue to claim he 'isn't a fucking homo'. Some of this denial comes from his adoptive parents and events that took place several years ago but most of it comes from an even bigger denial of events that had taken place much more recently in juvie.
DISLIKES::
- Pure bloods: Since childhood, Jaxon was never a fan of pure bloods and wound up gaining a dislike or rather a hatred for them, particularly, shifters and vampires. Having been looked down upon and treated like an outsider and like trash by the majority of pure bloods he grew up around, Jaxon views most of them as stuck up snobs that believe they are superior and that hate hybrids like him. Obviously he doesn't hate every other pure blood out there or he would have never been with Mathew but it is assumed, when meeting a new pure blood, that they'll be like the majority he has run into and not like the rarity that is Mathew. Like Mathew, it is possible to prove Jaxon wrong and to gain his trust and acceptance.
- Cats and other felines: Being a canine shifter, it isn't difficult to imagine Jaxon would have a distaste for felines and feline shifters. It isn't so much a dislike for them however, as it is a prey drive toward them and an urge to attack them just as a dog might attack or chase a squirrel or chipmunks. Just the scent of a feline can kick start that prey drive and make his wolf side difficult to control or even trigger a shift or wolf-ish behavior he would normally have control over. That being said, Jaxon doesn't hate cats just because they are cats or hate them at all really, he dislikes being around them because they make his wolf side difficut to control and the same goes for other prey animals of shifters with prey animal shifts (rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, birds, etc)
- Most human food: Due to both, Jaxon's vampire and shifter side, he has a very low tolerance for most human food and much of it not only doesn't taste good but it may even make him sick. Certain foods are tolerable and even liked but the majority is off putting, disgusting, smells awful and will cause him to throw it right back up if he tries to eat it.
- Being completely alone: As a wolf and dog shifter, Jaxon has very strong pack driven instincts and as any wolf or dog would, he wants to be apart of a pack and being alone makes him anxious and can even be stressful. Considering he is a shifter, well half shifter and not a wolf or a dog, it may seem kind of silly but Jaxon is very much driven by his instincts and the pack mentality that comes with his shifter's instincts. As well as a side effect of being a wolf/dog shifter, Jaxon has something akin to separation anxiety or abandonment issues from being disowned by his parents and learning he was adopted to begin and from loosing the life he had before getting arrested.
- Medication for his I.E.D and other mental/behavioral issues: Jaxon has something of a love/hate relationship with his medication. On the one hand, he likes the numb feeling that they give him and how they in a senses, draw him out of reality and away from his worries but on the other, they make him very groggy and make it difficult to concentrate or have the energy to do much.
POSITIVE::
-
-
- Loyal/trustworthy
-
-
NEGATIVE::
- Intermittent explosive disorder: Jaxon was diagnosed as a child and has since taken action or rather, his parents took action to help keep the outbursts at a minimum but even to this day, Jaxon still has difficulty controlling his anger. Due to this disorder, he is prone to violent outbursts and becoming overly angry at the smallest annoyance or even for no reason at all. Since he has gotten older, it isn't as bad as it was when he was a child and if he feels like he can't control it and that he is beginning to shift because of it, he will try to leave and put distance between himself and whatever or whoever that had made him angry but it's unpredictable and not surprising if he suddenly throws something across the room, breaks something or attacks someone near him. Taking his medication as he is supposed to helps him keep control of himself but there's no guarantee that he won't lash out while on it.
- Aggressive/territorial/violent: Aside from his disorder,
- Stubborn and can hold a mean grudge
- Prone to jealousy and can become clingy or overly attached: If you cross Jaxon, don't expect any forgiveness any time soon as he's likely to hold
- Self destructive: When stressed and nervous as well as angry and frustrated, jaxon tends to participate in self destructive habits such as biting his nails, digging his nails into the palms of his hands and drawing blood or even scratching as his arms and drawing blood, pulling at his hair or pulling it out, clenching and grinding his teeth, using nearby objects, such as walls, mirrors, desks, etc as punching bags and other similar behavior.
-
FEARS::
- Being sent back to juvie and having additional time tacked onto the rest of his sentence as well as having to spend time in prison where he knows it will be tougher and is sure he would not last. In fact, this terrifies him and he has already made the decision that if he gets sent back to juvie he will kill himself so he wouldn't have to face the hell that was his life for nearly three years again only to look forward to an even worse hell in prison.
- Jaxon has developed a wariness for other males and more specifically, those that are taller than himself, stronger than himself and overall intimidating. He isn't outright fearful of every other guy slightly bigger than him but he is very cautious around them, can be suspicious, very distrusting of them, will keep his distance from them and can become flinchy and jumpy around them.
GOALS::
- To make it through his parole and be completely free from juvie.
- To learn better control of his blood lust and shifting.
- To somehow find Mathew once he is released from parole and apologize to him.
HOBBIES::
- Jaxon doesn't currently have any hobbies considering he has just been released on parole and has yet to be out long enough to establish new hobbies or to get back into old hobbies he had before being arrested.
HABITS::
- Smoking is a bad habit he picked up when he was twelve and hasn't been able to stop since then. Even through juvie he was able to supply his addiction by bartering with other prisoners for cigarettes.
- When nervous or stressed Jaxon has a tendency to bite his nails and even become self destructive
GENERAL::
As a child, Jaxon was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder, otherwise known as I.E.D, which is a behavioral disorder that falls under the category of Impulse-control disorders.

PLACE OF ORIGIN:: Collision Falls
LOCATION:: Student living at the academy
HISTORY::
Jaxon was born of two highly respected families within Collision Falls; the Bentham's and the Dahl's. These two families both hold importance among their own species and are thought of highly by those with like minded, old fashioned values. If it weren't for a several hundred centuries long rivalry between the two families, they might have gotten along quite well considering they share very similar beliefs. It is those beliefs however, that instead, created the base of their hatred for one another but it is also the foundation that allowed each to remain pure to their own kind. A notion, that with the coming of the new era, is becoming increasingly difficult to hold onto but one that each has managed to achieved. For centuries, back before the two families even knew of one another’s existence, the Benthams family line consisted entirely of pure blood shifters who pass down the primary shift of the Barbary lion and the Dahls own family line consisted entirely of pure blood vampires. Seventeen years ago however, the birth of a baby boy brought taint into both of their bloodlines and brought an end to their proud efforts to remain pure of their own kind and superior to others. This baby boy was the secret love child of Lysander Bentham, the heir to the head of his family and Aurora Dahl, the only daughter of the Dahl family. Much like with the famous Romeo and Juliet, Lysander and Aurora fell in love despite their families hate for one another and distaste for each others species. The two had planned to leave their lives of luxury in order to raise their unborn child away from the oppression that their families had put on both of them but before they had the chance, they were found out. The young lovers were separated and held confined to their homes, forever to be kept away from one another but when it was discovered that Aurora was pregnant and the two had not only gone behind their families backs but had committed, what was in their beliefs as a most heinous betrayal, a more drastic punishment was to be given. It was agreed upon by both families that Lysander and Aurora were to be banished, but not until the baby was born and executed privately to assure that this betrayal and disgusting defilement of their bloodlines never reached the public.
During the night the execution was supposed to take place, with the infant only hours old and Aurora still recouping, she with the help of her midwife, managed to flee and save her child. Of course, it didn't take long for their disappearance to be found out and for her and her child to be pursued. Aurora was able to throw the two families off her trail and she and her child were safe for a little while but not for long. Each and every time she thought she had put enough distance between them and hidden herself and her baby well, they would be found and the case started all over again. Several times they had been nearly caught but Aurora managed to stay one step ahead of them. However, the close calls and the fear of her infant son being taken away from her and killed was enough to push her to make a desperate decision. In front of a supernatural operated police station just outside Collision Falls, Aurora left her baby, knowing he would be found by those that would keep him safe while she lured those hunting her and her child away from him. The infant was found and taken in by the police as she had hoped and with no one to claim him he was placed into the foster system where he spent the next few months of his infant life until he was adopted. By the time Aurora was able to shake her and Lysander's family and felt it was safe enough for her to go back to her child, the adoption had been approved and her son had already been with his new family long enough to become attached to them. Unable to pull him away from his new family, she didn't interfere and the last time her son, newly renamed Jaxon Layne Shaddix, saw his real mother was before he could even comprehend who she was.
Similarly to the two families he came from, Jaxon's adoptive family was one of wealth as well as one aware of the supernatural seeing as both of his parents were specialists. The middle aged couple that had adopted him, Frederick and Lynette had been trying to have a child but found out they were infertile and it was an impossibility so they turned to adoption to fulfill their dream. They wanted a little boy of their own that they could groom into the perfect young gentleman, who could take over their business, get married to a beautiful woman, have children and pass down the family business to his children. The two had decided that they would not tell their new son that he was adopted and before they had even chosen him to adopt, they had a plan for how they would raise him. Like many children born with a silver spoon in their mouth, or given one very early on in life as Jaxon had, he was very spoiled since the day he was brought home. However, with Frederick and Lynette wanting to shape him into their ideal perfect gentleman, they started him early into various activities and much of his time was spent rigorously practicing the piano, the violin, how to dance for formal events, how to speak politely, proper placements for silverware as well as many other things his parents felt it necessary to learn. While he may have had every other toy a child could ever want, Jaxon never truly had a childhood as he was subject to his adoptive parents perfect vision of him and strict parenting. You couldn't really call what his parents were doing 'parenting' in any true sense as they operated behind nannies, maids, tutors and teachers and it was they that raised Jaxon. Frederick and Lynette gave their business most of their attention and when they did interact with their son it was usually to say a simple good night before bed, reprimanding him for something bad he had done or for bugging them when he should be playing the piano or to tell him goodbye when they were leaving on a three week long vacation without him.
Despite all of their efforts, Jaxon was far from their ideal child and was rather nightmare-ish instead. Unknown to Frederick and Lynette, Jaxon had inherited a condition called Intermittent Explosive Disorder which runs on his biological father's side of the family. Without the knowledge that it was a high possibility he could turn out to have it as well, it came as a surprise when their sweet little boy began turning into a monster of a child. After many incidents of Jaxon breaking house hold items, even his own toys, harming his nannies and the maids as well as much screaming and being kicked out of several preschools and kinder gardens for biting other kids, hitting and other violent outbursts, his family decided therapy was in order. It didn't take long for his psychologists to diagnose him I.E.D and for them to begin a treatment regimen of therapy and medication in order to control it. This helped significantly but their rambunctious child had soon become a constantly sleepy child that lacked motivation and who began to decline in his lessons and couldn't pay attention in school, often falling asleep during class. Several different types of medications were tried in order to keep his outbursts under control while also not making him too tired and unmotivated to the point of barely being functional as well as therapy was continued so he could learn to control it. He was beginning to make a bit of progress and managed to stay in the same school for longer than usual and not to drive away his nannies but he may as well have not made any progress at all considering it didn't last long. As Jaxon got older, the medication and therapy seemed to help less and less and his behavior became much worse. He was not only acting out in bursts of rage due to his I.E.D but he became much more aggressive, selfish with his belongings, rude to his nannies and others and began growling at others, trying to bite them and over all acting similarly to an animal. Not only that but he became more picky with what he would eat and refused to eat much of anything other than meat. Considering that Frederick and Lynette were both specialists, they didn't have much knowledge in other species and weren't able to recognize Jaxon's behavior for what it really was and instead, chalked it up to his I.E.D becoming worse. Being as oblivious as the two were to what was happening with their son, they hadn't even realized what species he was and hadn't given it much thought past 'hybrid' as they knew he was when they adopted him. Not knowing what to do or to handle the little tyrant that was their son, they increased his therapy and insisted on them trying stronger medications and neither of them realized that not only was his behaviour becoming worse due to his instincts as a hybrid kicking in or his I.E.D but that it was also a cry for their attention. Jaxon was neglected by them and this of course led to frustration with them, anger and lashing out at them for 'caring more about work than me!'.
As well as several nannies, Jaxon had gone through several school as he was expelled many times for violence and acting out and by the time he was in middle school he had already gone through at least five different private shool. Growing up as a hybrid was difficult enough on it's own but growing up as a hybrid while going to prestigious private schools full of purebred snobs was an entirely different story. Even as a child,others took every chance to point out why Jaxon was different and didn't belong and most of his violent behavior during school was due to other kids provoking him. Throughout middle school, Jaxon's behaviour had gone from violence and uncontrollable outbursts due to his I.E.D and his instincts kicking in to a combination of that and purposely seeking out trouble and doing what he could to piss off his parents and say a big 'fuck you' to the entire world. He began smoking at the age of twelve (he saw some other kids smoking and decided to steal some cigarettes as well as other items from a gas station) as well as that was about the time he had began stealing and committing other petty crimes such as vandalism. At thirteen he was arrested for the first time after stealing one of his parents cars and taking it on a joy ride only to wind up crashing it and injuring himself in the process. He healed easily enough but as punishment his parents let him spend the week in a holding cell before bailing him out, hoping that it would teach him a lesson. It didn't seem to have much of an effect of him as things went right back the way they were with Jaxon's parents frustrated with him but too into their work to really bother with him and Jaxon acting out. That same year he had been arrested several other times for various reasons (getting caught drinking, stealing from gas stations and stores, taking a bat to a neighborhood’s mail boxes, spray painting public property, etc). Before the age of fourteen, Jaxon spend a considerable amount of time in and out of juvie but it was usually for no more than a week or two at a time while his parents let him think over his actions before bailing him out.
At the age of fourteen was when things really began to escalate and it was also when he had made the biggest mistake of his life in so far, two of them to be exact. Only two months into the new school year and Jaxon was expelled once again and placed into another new school. During the summer and just after he had turned fourteen, he had experienced his first shift and since then he had been having a difficult time controlling himself and would involuntarily shift and lash out easier at others than usual and by the time the new school year started up, he was very unstable. He was expelled for nearly mauling a classmate and injuring a teacher when they had to pin him down and knock him out to stop him. It wasn't simply a lack of control over his shifts that made him so unstable but the blood lust from his vampire side and not eating a proper diet that had him nearly constantly on edge and in pain. On the first day at the new school, he had almost lost it in the middle of class again as a classmate had accidentally cut themselves and he wound up running out of the room. He had spent half the day hiding in the bathroom, screaming in agony as his body changed involuntarily and he had persistently tried to stop it. He was experiencing his first bout of blood lust and it was driving his wolf instincts mad and causing him to shift as well. He was found toward the end of the day by another student, slumped over in the stall at the very back of the bathroom with his clothing tattered and torn, body battered and covered in blood from digging his nails into his own skin in an attempt to stop it. The bathroom was in just as bad of a condition with several mirrors broken after he had slammed his fists into them, deep claw marks along the walls and stall he was hiding. It looked like a scene out of a horror movie where someone was murdered when it was all the doing of a hungry child hybrid in pain. This student, Mathew as Jaxon had come to learn his name, was different from the majority of others he had the displeasure of encountering. At first Jaxon had thought Mathew was insane and even suicidal when he had locked himself in the bathroom with an unstable hybrid but he soon came to find a friend in this boy and eventually more. That day, Mathew had helped Jaxon calm down and gain control of himself and in doing so, the two unknowingly created a blood bond with each other that would forever link them to one another.
This blood bond that was created between them was just the beginning to what would soon become a six month long relationship. After that day, the two had become fast friends and were connected in a way only those sharing a blood bond could be; they could sense each others emotions and readily cared for one another more than simple friends would. Jaxon had finally found someone who didn't judge him for being a hybrid or for his disorder and someone who stuck by his side even after witnessing his outbursts and nearly being mauled by him. Finding a friend and confidant in Mathew helped significantly with Jaxon's behavior and he found that his anger and shifting was easier to control as Matt had become something of an anchor for him. Also, feeding from Matt and drinking blood from blood bags helped to keep his hunger under control as well. Jaxon's behavior was still much less than perfect however but you could easily say that Mathew was a good influence on him. Unknown to Jaxon at the time, Mathew had thought of Jaxon as more than a friend and Jaxon himself, not really having any friends for a prolonged period of time or having had any interest in anyone before, didn't recognize the way he felt for Jaxon as what it was. That was soon established however, when Mathew had given Jaxon his first kiss and from there the two officially became more than friends without actually making it official; it was innocent and it was sweet. Being naive at this age when it came to relationships, Jaxon didn't realize there was anything 'wrong' or strange about two boys kissing and holding hands and all he knew was that he liked Mathew and that Mathew made him happy but they couldn't kiss or hold hands in public. That is, until the two were caught kissing in the bathroom during break at school one day and the ones they were caught by just couldn't resist spreading the news.
Following after came a series of cruel pranks and bullying by classmates which soon lead to a school wide humiliation and their parents finding out. Unlike Mathew's family, Jaxon's didn't take very kindly to this discovery as they strongly disagreed with homosexual relationships and were appalled that the child they 'saved'' from the foster system would participate in such a 'disgusting' act. They immediately pulled him out of school and away from Mathew, putting an end to their six month long relationship. Being that Jaxon was still young and naïve, his parents chalked it up to Mathew convincing him to do things he 'couldn't possibly have thought to do on his own' and tricking him into thinking it was 'normal' and that he liked it. Much like they had done with his violent behavior as a child, Jaxon's parents put him into therapy, thinking their son had been through a traumatic experience and that he needed help. At first, the separation was as you would expect, painful and upsetting and Jaxon didn't understand why his parents were doing this. Without Mathew there to keep him anchored, and being confused and angry, Jaxon lashed out violently at his parents and his therapists. He wound up running the first few therapists out and sending one to the hospital until his parents stepped in and decided a more 'drastic' measure needed to be taken. So, along with new and more expensive therapists, Jaxon's parents took time off of work when they would only previously do so for themselves, to help their son 'cope'. All these years his parents had finally become more interested in him and were giving him the attention he had been craving since childhood. Even though they were only concerned that their adopted child would ruin their perfect future for him by simply being with another boy, as opposed to gaining a criminal record the previous year. Still being impressionable at this age as well as being desperate for his parent's approval and love, Jaxon was easily manipulated by them and soon enough Mathew was nothing more than a memory and Jaxon was agreeing along with his parents slander and discrimination of homosexuals. Jaxon was convinced that Mathew was the one manipulating him and that he had purposely made the blood bond with him to 'turn him gay', that it was his fault his parents became so angry with him and pulled him out of school, and overall Mathew who was once a source of happiness and comfort became a source of anger and hate.
It wasn't long before Jaxon's parents put their attention back onto their work as they seemed satisfied that they had 'fixed' their son and had put him back on the 'right track' again. Jaxon was once again forgotten about by them and the only company he had were the housekeepers and just as it was before he had met Mathew, he was once again that angry and unruly child. Jaxon was placed back into school seeing as his parents felt it was 'safe' to do so and that he wouldn't be 'manipulated' like that again and put their 'perfect future' for him in danger, only every school they had tried to put him in rejected him due his criminal background and he wound up at the same school. As it turned out, Mathew was still attending that school and what had happened wasn't forgotten by anyone. Jaxon was reminded of this as well as his status as a 'lowly hybrid', as when he arrived he had gotten into a fight with the group of boys that started it all. He had given several of them black eyes and broken noses but he didn't go unscathed and wound up getting suspended for a few weeks. When he came back to school and was confronted by a confused and worried Mathew, Jaxon followed by example of his parents and told him off, claiming that he hated him and calling him all sorts of discriminating names as well as accusing him of making his parents angry with him. After this, every time that he would see Mathew in school he would shoot some kind of curse at him, put him down and make fun of him and even went so far as to getting into physical altercations with him. Jaxon didn't actually hate Mathew however, he hated how he felt about him and he hated that it was 'wrong' and that his parents would hate him for it. He missed Mathew and although he was able to put him to the side for his parents affection, seeing him in school reminded him how much he liked him, how happy he made him and how much he wanted that back. The more he thought about Mathew, the more he thought about his parents and how angry they were with him and how much he wanted their approval, how much he wanted their love. He was confused and all of these opposing emotions had him frustrated and the only way Jaxon has ever known how to deal with his emotion was through violence and lashing out. And so, Mathew, just as the house keepers were, became victim to his outbursts which were made even more uncontrollable by his wolf-ish temper and Intermittent Explosive Disorder. Of course, Mathew didn't simply take Jaxon's abuse and fought back but it was always Jaxon who threw the first punch.
That year, Jaxon's lack of control and violent temper got the best of him without him taking his medication and without Mathew there to help keep him calm. He gained himself a reputation at school as 'the psychotic hybrid' and nearly every other kid kept their distance from him even more so than usual. Jaxon couldn't handle the near constant battle over control of himself, the shifting in class, the blood lust and seeing Mathew on a daily basis to the point where he began skipping school. Soon, it became a rare thing to see Jaxon around school, his grades were slipping and he was failing several classes and when he did show up, he was either high or drunk or a combination of the two. The times he was missing from school he could be found hanging around town with a group of drop outs and older kids who dragged him into trying drugs, drinking again and pulled him back into the life of crime he was only just beginning to leave behind. Just as the school year was nearing an end it was decided by the school board that Jaxon would not be joining his classmates in moving on to the next grade and would be held back instead. Before the school year ended and just before Jaxon's fifteenth birthday however, he found himself behind bars for the umpteenth time in his life. Unlike all of the other times he had been arrested before, he wouldn't simply be spending the night or a few weeks in juvie and this time, when Mr. and Mrs. Shaddix showed up at the police station it wasn't to bail their son out. It was a week later, after being arrested and sitting in a holding cell, that they had showed up and it was the last time Jaxon saw or heard from his parents. To Jaxon's surprise, his parents had only come to visit him, to tell him that he was never really their son, that he was adopted and that he had turned out to be a disappointment and that they couldn't handle him any longer. He had ruined their dream they had for him. He had wasted all those years of their lives they spent trying to 'give him a great life'. He should have been adopted by some mangy mutts like himself who could handle his barbaric personality. They were already in the process of disowning him; taking him off of every legal document they had him on and cutting any ties they had with him. Before they left and walked out of his life for good, they had coldly wished him 'good luck', that his time spent in juvie would straighten him out and that he would find a 'better life' once he was out. If he survived.
After Jaxon's conviction, he was taken to a processing center to be evaluated before being placed into the proper juvenile detention center. Two weeks had gone by before a decision was made and he was transferred to a juvenile detention center just outside of Collision Falls. The building, as was the processing center, was specifically built to to hold supernaturals and was surrounded by a barrier that kept all inside powerless, except for the guards who wore bracelets to cancel out the effects of the barrier. This way no prisoner could overpower a guard. Of course, there were restrictions on how the guards were able to use their supernatural abilities to control the prisoners to keep things under control. Other than the barrier and the fact that the juvenile detention center was filled with only the supernatural, the center itself operated in the same way you would expect a human juvenile detention center to. The detention center was however, entirely different from the processing center or from holding cells and anything Jaxon had dealt with before and he wasn't prepared for what he was about to walk into. He had heard all the stories and watched all the movies...prison was hell. In the movies and in the news there were always guys getting raped in the shower, 'shanked' in the mess hall by some guy that didn't like the way he looked at him, and even beaten savagely by the guards. 'Just stories', he had told himself. Besides, he was going to juvie, not prison, it couldn't possibly be as bad as the rumors. Not all of them could be true. It may not be as hyped up as prison or hardcore but Juvie could be just as brutal, especially when it came to a juvie packed with supernaturals when there aren't nearly as many prisons and juvenile detention centers for them as there are for humans. Even if the rumors were true, he could handle himself. At least, that's what he told himself and even believed at the time; after all, he managed to make an entire school keep their distance from him so he could do the same here, right? At fourteen and still in that awkward stage between adolescence and adulthood and only just hitting puberty, that was a deluded thought. He was young, considerably small for his age, from a privileged family and a hybrid no less and he had grossly underestimated what he had gotten himself into. For the next nearly two years, juvie had become Jaxon's hell and it had drastically changed him.
Now, at the age of sixteen, Jaxon has been released from juvie on parole and is being made to attend Collision Falls Academy. Jaxon's sentence hasn't been completed and he still has time to pay for the crime he committed when he was fourteen but with parole he will be able to serve that time outside of juvie while being integrated back into society. With this parole, Jaxon has many restrictions coming into Collision Falls and must follow by them as well as other requirements in order to meet the terms that were agreed upon in order for parole to be possible. As it stands now, Jaxon is not allowed off the premises of the school and has to wear a tracking bracelet to assure he doesn't. Along with the tracking bracelet he must wear a power suppressant which will keep him from completely shifting and using any vampire abilities such as compulsion. The power suppressant isn't entirely fool proof however and his senses, although greatly dulled, are still more keen than a humans, his eyes may change color with anger or blood lust and other such small supernatural changes may occur (if provoked enough he might be able to pull of a partial shift but it will be unstable and waver back and forth but it's more likely only something very insignificant can happen, like his fangs coming out, wolfish teeth showing, nails sharpening and growling but his enhanced strength, agility and fully shifting along with rapid healing will not be able to be used). The power suppressor is to be worn in order to keep him controllable and less of a threat/risk to his parole officer and to make it easier to chase him down should he break his parole and run. If he proves he can be trusted, the power suppressor will be taken off and he will be able to use all of his abilities to their fullest extent. Like the power suppressor, with good behavior he could earn himself more freedom when it comes to the boundaries he is allowed to wander. As well as restrictions, Jaxon is obligated to certain requirements including, seeing his therapist twice a week, taking an anger management class, taking medication to control his I.E.D and for other mental afflictions, meeting with his parole officer once a week. In addition to those specific terms, Jaxon must obey all laws just as any citizen would and any arrests can land him back in juvie even without any new criminal charges, he must report to his parole officer about any new changes (if he switched dorms or later moves off campus and into an apartment, any changes in job if he gets one, etc), as well as arrests or tickets. Without reason,any warning or warrant, his parole officer or any other police can search his dorm and/or belongings. If he fails to abide by all the terms he may receive a punishment by losing privileges gained (having to wear a power suppressor again or having the freedom to wander town taken away) or he may be sent back to juvie depending on the degree of his violation.
